I appreciate those times when you have told the truth, not only about the business, but your personal relationship with your career. Because, yes, I do feel like many writers are such Shiny Happy People and I find it difficult to believe that such a feeling could be sustained all the time in one's creative labors.

So thank you for those moments, Aunt Beast. I know it is difficult to walk through tha political minefield; I have a friend in the music business who says much the same: even one such as him who dwells in the background cannot be forthright about all he encounters and endures in the course of his career, and yet it is all he ever wanted to do.

Those are masks worn for fear that the truth will be glimpsed. Oh, and readers want happy writers. We must remember that. Because, after all, it must surely be a joyful enterprise, right?

On Wednesday, I wrote 1,018 words on a piece for Sirenia Digest #73 called "Blast the Human Flower."

So pumped that we get 2 new stories in the next Sirenia Digest!! I just purchased Weird Fiction Review #2 just for "Fish Bride"! Its a great looking volume worth the price for your piece alone but an amazing monograph of Alexander Binder's work and a good Michael Cisco story appear as well. Kudos!

Man, I'd drink in that pub for the head alone. I've never tried saison, but it sounds nice - I'll have to see if any of the city centre pubs/off-licences stock it.

Brava on the teaser trailer. Especially that last gasp of air under the bathwater; roll on March.

Thank you. If you only knew what poor Nicola went through for that shot (we had her in the tub for, I think, the better part of an hour). At one point, I was pretty sure she was actually about to drown.

I really love the part where the woman (Eva?) is crawling out of the water. Very nice.

yep. That's Eva. And filming that sequence, there's an epic tale. The water temperature was probably in the 50sF, and never mind the current.

I was wondering about that... I mean, those gals are _white_, but that didn't look like the color of any warm skin!

Teaser Trailer is the Bow Tie. Dino head on the bar wall is bow tie but bow tie in a different way.

I am almost giddy w. anticipation over Blood Oranges. I read some para-rom authors and the idea of a Kiernan para-rom parody excites my brain to a ridiculous level. Drowning Girl is already preordered and I am reading a story at a time in Two Worlds and In Between.

Lastly, life is too short for cheap beer. Nice glow to the mug, glad you enjoyed the drinks.
