I bought a copy of Two Worlds and In Between from Amazon, got it relatively fast, and am in love with it (almost literally. I cuddle it at night), but... I could be very, very lucky.

Also, I'm excited for the release of Alabaster and the premiere of the trailer for The Drowning Girl: A Memoir. Comics are a big deal to me. But, I recognize I'm odd.

I'm very glad it worked out. Bow tie. I just don't feel comfortable referring people there after what happened with the preorders.

"Mostly, I sat in the smoking crater that was the night, and tried not to think, and the harder I tried not to, the more I did."

I have this failure too; I used to watch MASH or Looney Tunes on Nick at Night when my brain wouldn't shut off, and eventually I'd often sleep (this was before they gave me trazadone which helps but not always). Maybe try something like that - a show that you enjoy but know so well your brain calms down - it didn't always work but it helped. These days I don't have a TV or access to either of those things, but I still play the MASH theme in my head or sing it to myself for 10 minutes and it sometimes works just enough that with the sleepy pills I can pass out for a few hours.

Probably tried that about twenty-five years ago.

The t-shirt rocks. And Another Tale Of Two Cities is pretty damn bow-tie, too.

Hope this day is better.

You're most welcome.

My money's on Mal, of course.

I'd rather not say.

I was admiring the t-shirt but then got distracted by The Lady of Shalott print.

In related fandom, there is a Harry Potter/Doctor Who t-shirt I am trying very hard to resist, but I don't carry off whimsical t-shirts as well as you do.

My favorite of all Pre-Raphaelite paintings.

Part of me just wants to say, "Who's the person with the gun on the left side of the shirt?" but Fillion's infatuation and all the references that made it into Firefly would belie the fib. Suffice it to say that my money's on Mal as well. That dude gets out of scrapes like nobody's business.

More importantly, I'm glad Two Worlds and In Between keeps making lists. It's an overture to a longer piece that hasn't hit its crescendos yet and I look forward to when the people who loved Two Worlds and In Between get to experience The Drowning Girl: A Memoir in all of its guises.

I just hope the collection doesn't eclipse the collection; the novel is, as you probably know, vastly more important to me, personally and artistically.
