On the Set (Day 3)

Oct 16, 2011 22:27

Everyone's on her or his way home now (Boston, Philadelphia, Framingham, Washington D.C.). Three amazing days of work are behind us. Much more work lies ahead, and the first edit of the trailer (there will be several, and yes, a DVD at some point) won't be done until January. But, undoubtedly, many hours of footage was shot for, at most, a four ( Read more... )

Perfectly safe for *my* work, but some days I work naked just because I can, so make of that what you will.

I don't get this SFW/NSFW thing. Are we not adults? Are bosses not adults? Is a booby not a fact of life? Is the capacity to do one's job vulnerable to sudden and total collapse at the sight of homos hugging?

Honestly, if I were a boss, I don't think I'd want to employ anyone so fragile that I would need to police them against the sight of a booby/homo/weener/bajingo/etc. I mean, as long as you're not masturbating on company time, why should it matter what you look at, if it doesn't stop you doing the job you're being paid for?

It's possible that this is either a product or a cause of my chronic inability to hold down a job. Though as Bill Hicks said; The very idea that anyone could be my boss, well...I think you see the conflict. Not in this lifetime, Charlie.

After all that, you seem to be subtly giving us all the finger, there.

Wrap party? ;D

No, the whole thing is beyond me. I think the very concept of NWF or NSFF or whatever is a bullshit concept. Which is why I said, "Like I give a shit."

Wrap party?

Actually, that sort of happened Friday night. I think we were all so glad to have survived the monsoon, that's the night fairly copious amounts of alcohol were consumed.

Thank you for all of the sneak peaks, but thanks especially for sharing the location photos. It's very cool to be able to see some of the places that inspired your writing of the novel. What a sensation it must be to see it come to life in front of you! Congrats and kudos and much pleasant impatience (waiting to see the finished product)...will have a Sugar-Free Rockstar in the morning to toast everyone involved.

It's always been very important to me, location. My books almost always been with the discovery of a location.

A weird combination of "this is incredibly cool" and "this is sort of unnerving."

Try another browser. I was having the same problem. They don't load for me in Opera, but came right up in Chrome.

That's odd that Opera was having a problem. They're just standard .jpg files.

I saw the second to last image on Kyle's journal. The light, the expression, everything nearly had me weeping. It's us so beautiful, my ribs and ache from overdeep breaths. I cannot wait to see the final film.
