"If i had a heart I could love you. If i had a voice I would sing."

Chilly. Sort of sunny. Sort of cloudy. We're being promised low sixties in the days to come, and I sit impatiently with fingers crossed. Toes. Fingers and toes crossed. All the toes that I can manage to cross. My toes used to be much more nimble ( Read more... )

I've done my first read of "Randoms Thoughts Before a Fatal Crash." Still going over it in my head, so no deep thoughts yet. Reminds me a bit of your writing style from about a decade ago, like maybe Albert Perrault kept being just on the verge of combining words the way you used to. (Perrault probably read at least some Faulkner, too...) Haven't read "Rat's Star" yet; I'll pace myself.

Meanwhile, I wish I remembered enough about the Eighties Beauty and the Beast to know if it got significantly better. Likely someone will chime in to defend it (though no fans are likely to applaud how the show wrote out Linda Hamilton's character; that made a lot of people mad).

Looking forward to seeing more of kylecassidy's photos of you guys...

I had no idea that happened. I thought their affair was the whole point. Likely, she asked for more money (I would have).

Refreshed my memory (via Wikipedia, for what that's worth): I still don't know why Linda Hamilton left at the start of Season 3, but the show's producers hadn't been sure how to balance the romance and the action, and when Hamilton said she'd leave felt that killing Catherine so Vincent could seek vengeance (yeah, I get a little depressed just typing that trope) would allow for more action.

To maybe make up for that a bit, have some Hello Watchmen.

I think she probably just wanted out of that crap-ass show.

I remember seeing The Seventh Sign way back when it first came out. I must have been around 15 or 16, and the only reason I wanted to see it was because of the huge crush I'd developed on Michael Biehn after Aliens. I remember nothing about the film apart from him, but I do remember it being awful.

Also, I had the most vivid dream about you and Kathryn last night. Seriously, it was... weird. I mean, the dream was pretty ordinary, but it's how real it seemed that is the strange part. I was in a taxi with you both and we had a bottle of something strong (I'm not sure what). We were talking and talking, and the taxi kept driving and driving. There was a lot of rain hitting the windows, so I have no idea where we were.

Excellent.

That title makes me sad.

Well, it's from a very sad and beautiful and creepy song. Poignant might be the best word.

Get the TARDIS Aunt Beast; we've got a crap sub-genre to kill off.

I remember it from the time, not with fondness.

I think that might be TARDIS abuse. I'll check.

TARDIS abuse versus cultural pollution? Tough one.

" women with bows"?

The Book Thief's very good so far.
