"Even the noises you make when you sleep..."

Yesterday, I wrote 1,840 words on Chapter Two of The Drowning Girl. I think I am amazed at how this narrative is unfolding. Amazed and unnerved. It's a calculated tumult. And, too, the prose in my novels continues to grow airier, looser, more open, more conversational. That began with Daughter of Hounds. It's occurred to me that readers who liked ( Read more... )

Ah, well... And I was hoping for a photograph of your computer screen with Chapter Two of The Drowning Girl in progress on it.

(Kidding! Mostly.)

I admit, I avoided that on purpose. Though, with a macro, it would have been very, very little text.

my painfully wondrous author lady.

Painfully wondrous. I like that. Thank you.

Wondrous not meaning quite the same thing as wonderful.

I need some of that Rum!!

Have fun in the goblin starter zone, it's a total freak out. I was literally slack jawed at the intro movie because I've never seen anything like it in game before. I rolled my goblin on my server this morning with a couple other people. I freakin' love it. You'll have a blast.

It's very good. A nice blend.

I'm envious! We have to wait at least until at least tonight.

Kat's copy of Cataclysm came a little while ago (she got the collector's edition). We'll go pick mine up this evening, which is good, because it means I'll get my work done BEFORE I fall into my goblin on Cenarion Circle. :P

Yay! We're going to be a tiny army before long.

I wrestled with insomnia last night but couldn't log into the game (too many on the tubes, man!).

Now I'm stuck at the godforsaken day job, then there is the second job and then I'll hopefully catch up with all of you.

Now I need to think of a name for Goblin Warrior Woman. Name suggestions?

I expect we'll have trouble logging in.

Not offhand. NPC goblins tend to have those steampunky named, Crank Fizzwizzle and all. I intend to go for either Punkmuffin or Hob (the latter may require some elaborate alternate spelling...Hahb, maybe. Though, spelled that way, it looks more like a b'elf name.).

That gives me a jumping off point, I suppose for naming pathways. At least I'll have something interesting to entertain myself with while clocking in my hours for the slave master who is not I.

I took photos all day long, for another "Day in the Life" sort of thing. Only, this time I restricted myself to macro shots.

For whatever reason, I love the Devonian close-up. It looks as though it could belong in one of your paintings.

Now that you mention it, it sort of does.
