Yesterday, I wrote 1,142 words on the Frazetta vignette, which I am calling simply "Tempest Witch." I do know now, thanks to Steven Lubold, that the Frazetta painting in question first appeared as the cover of issue #7 of Eerie magazine back January 1967*. I would have been three years old. I just subscribed to Sirenia Digest and I look forward to reading "Tempest Witch." The Franzetta painting is amazing and I am interested to see what it has inspired.

I'm so glad I can finally subscribe. I think the idea of the digest is genius for providing an income for you between novels. I love that the subscription fees go straight to you without a publishing house taking a giant bite out of it. Also, glad to do my part to placate the space pirates.

I hope you do well with the auctions and Spooky's pendants.

I think the idea of the digest is genius for providing an income for you between novels. I love that the subscription fees go straight to you without a publishing house taking a giant bite out of it.

I'm glad you received so many donations for the poem! I had asked my boyfriend to buy one as my birthday present, but he hit the page too late in the day and the button was already down. (Now he'll have to come up with something just as inventive.)

That is very cool that he kept on reworking his paintings. When is something finished? It's just a choice the artist makes on when to stop, or maybe when a deadline is for submitting cover art. I paint, poorly, and I occasionally pull one of mine off the wall and start messing with it again in the hope of fixing it.
