Goths vs. Those Douchie Little "Vampire" Kids

Nov 23, 2008 11:58

I think, while I slept, very small pixies came and glued my eyelids shut. That's the most parsimonious, rational explanation I can come up with at the moment ( Read more... )

snag a copy of Daughter of Hounds. You'll find it inherently superior to anything from the "pen" of Stephenie Meyer because a) my vampires do not sparkle and b) I can actually, you know, write.

As you mention it, I think that now might be an even better time for more stories about Bobby and Dead Girl and the yellow house on Benefit Street. I'd back their mercury eyes against sparkle any day.

I find myself still singing "Burn down the Hot Topic, don't let it steal your soul away..." days later.

I love your YA series idea! I've got a friend who is a librarian and reviews YA books and I bet she would love this.

Speaking of zombies, have you read World War Z by Max Brooks? I think you would enjoy it.

Nope. Not yet. But it's on the list.

It is a damned catchy tune.
We need to watch the episode again just so I can try and decipher the other "goth" songs the kids were listening to. Though I doubt any were near the brilliance of the Hot Topic song.

Rot: You can experiment in Sirenia. How about Love in Pieces?

Well...I did just do "The Z Word," though I suppose that was a bit too visceral.

Is this mine, or yours?

Sorry. I'm not sure I understood the question.

Don't know if you saw this, but if you check your Warcraft mail today, you'll get a free baby polar bear. Painfully cute.

I saw, and I reported.
I was checking my auctions on my mule, who is a gnome warlock that I cannot seem to stop playing, when the little bugger appeared in the mail. My warlock is an herbalist, and I have learned now that starting herbalism almost immediately is the non-tedious way to actually auction the spoils. Little beast already has 5 gold.

I am doing that too - my new Tauren Shaman just started herbalism and alchemy as soon as he got to Thunder Bluff for the first time. My other Tauren is also an herbalist, and always gets picked on as the big buff bull that has to stop and pick flowers :)

And the polar bear cub is indeed too cute for words.

If Let the Right One In is playing in any theaters near you go see it. It's a marvelous film that should be stamping out Twilight, if more people had more sense. I hope it gets a wider release.

I just saw the trailer, and it looks marvelous. I don't think it's playing here, though. Maybe in Boston.
