I wasn't sleeping last night, and I was listening to the radio. They had a Planetologist on who was talking about the events in 2006 when Pluto was named a Dwarf Planet. Apparently Cosmologist, and Planetologist have different definitions on what a planet is. Cosmologist are concern with planets on the galactic scale, while Planetologist are concerned object it's self. It's a the difference between space, and geology. If Cosmologist and Planetologist were MD., they would be General Practitioners, and Brain Surgeons, respectively. When the vote came on Pluto, of course the specialist lost. Fearing open debate, the Cosmologist then took flawed opinion to the papers. Now Pluto is a Dwarf Planet. Not all hope is lost, the Planetologist are reopening the debate while Pluto is hot news.

I think this is one of the silliest arguments in history. I will never understand the non-scientists obsessed with clasing Pluto as a planet.

How intimidated would you be by the discovery of a tenth planet covered in fungus? Given what a fungus usually requires to thrive on our planet?
