In the Northeast Spring is the day before Summer.

Then Autumn is the day after July 4th.

YES!

I have named two new seasons for Rhode Island: 1) "cold spring" (March-early June) and 2) "green autumn" (mid-August through September). If we're lucky, we get 6-8 weeks of a mostly chilly summer, sometimes punctuated by muggy, hot days.
