Empathy for your mishap and gratitude it's not so bad as to interfere with the trip.

Also wanted to comment that I love "Black Glass, Green Glass." If you ever decide to expand it I imagine I shall love it even more.

That was really nice, beautiful language, I love the flow of your invented slang. It's also maybe the most William Burroughs-ish work by you I've read--in a very nice way.
