Between Lou Reed's death and your photos I'm homesick in a way that never happens. Generally I miss some of the people but not the place; right now I'd love to be watching the sunset on a blustery beach followed by an evening drinking with random freaks at a dive bar and then dancing til dawn at whtever club hasn't been torn down or gentrified. But the places of my youth are gone, and that reality would probably make me angry. I miss people and things that will never recur.
