I am in Tokyo, where I have not been in a long time, and I have spent far, far too much money buying doujinshi. Years of careful restraint went out the window in a single weekend. It's entirely possible that I doubled my collection, I'm not 100% sure ( Read more... )

Which means that I now own hypothetical merchandise for a Visual K band that ONLY EXISTS IN MY HEAD.

For the WIN. This is what writers do, you understand, talk with their characters all day and buy things of significance only to themselves. :D My characters have been too quiet of late.-_-

Also, letting you know because I feel like you'd want to know: I assume you mean "Meatloaf" and not "Matloaf" in the beginning of your 2nd conversation excerpt. :)

What doujinshi have you been buying? Saiunkoku stuff or some other fandom?

Heh. I have a number of random items that I bought simply because they had the celtic knotwork design that is Emrys' seal on them. @_@

Anyway, all things come in waves, I find. I'll have periods where my characters are utterly silent, and then suddenly there's a cacophony inside my head as everyone speaks up at once.

Thanks for the spellcheck! That's what I get for not editing my entry before I hit "post" . . .

I bought . . . lots of Saiunkoku stuff. And I also bought D.Gray-man. And Kingdom Hearts (blast it, Majoooooo!). And . . . um, I even bought a Hikaru no Go doujin. BECAUSE IT HAD SAI IN IT OMG. <3

I find your blog absolutely fascinating. I came here via someone saying that you often post manga scans to the saiunkoku community. Instead I've been reading your very interesting and awesomely random posts about everything from saimono to Japanese logic to Obama love. Also your fics are hilarious.

::laughs:: Well, I'm glad you enjoy it. :-D Feel free to read whatever you want and comment on whatever you like; my journal is 100% free and open. And 100% random, as you noted. If you're looking for manga scans, I only post those to the community, so you won't find them here. The only way to find them is to go back through the community posts looking for them, at least until someone manages to persuade Livejournal that we need a new mod, someone who's actually active. ::wry:: Which reminds me, I was supposed to write them an email about that. Hm, I should get back to that . . .
