IIIIIIIIIIIIIIII think that I might love you, just a little bit. And by a little bit, I mean A WHOLE LOT. This! All of this! I do not know how you do this, but this is their voices perfectly, and I am insanely jealous because I LOVE THIS. Of course he'd fix it so she was protected. Of course, of course, of course. Is Malcolm on the roof? Is he going to reenact Life on Mars?

"I could kill him," she muses, half-under her breath. "No one would care. I could move to Greece, take an assumed name-

In conclusion: LOL SPOOKS.

First: YES, you caught the Spooks reference! Of course you did. <3 (I'm assuming you also got the super-obvious Lost reference?)

Second: Thank you, omg! Parts of writing this were like trying to wring blood from a stone, seriously, so I'm really glad it works! And that you like the voices!

Is Malcolm on the roof? Is he going to reenact Life on Mars?

Yeah, that whole bit where Nicola goes slightly "!!!!" about Malcolm being on the roof stems directly from that Tumblr conversation we had about Nicola and Julius having to talk him down with made-up stories about Caribbean rent boys, so, you know, I'm glad you enjoyed that.

Hah! Excellent maneuvering by Malcolm. You write all of their voices so well. Amazing fic.

I am so jealous of authors who make it look so easy to write Malcolm. Sometimes I think everyone is good at it except me!

Which to say: Your Malcolm is excellent. :D You have a good feel for the others too, especially Nicola. Also this cracked me up:

"Shame you didn't punch Malcolm," says Glenn, handing her a bunch of paper towels. "Or the PM. That probably would've won you some support."

I enjoyed this take on recent events, TToI-style.

Oh, thank you! I actually think writing Malcolm is super difficult, especially since I'm American and his speech is so idiomatic and full of Briticisms, so I'm glad you think I pulled it off. Mostly I just tried to make things sound as offensive as possible. :)
