CBN releases a statement regarding the comments Pat Robertson made on their network about Haiti.

it's ok to be ruthlessly racist as long as you don't come out and say it openly. because nothing angers god more than slaves going free, except maybe those elitist liberals when you suggest black people bring on their own misfortune.

I think this is the biggest case of "buy a fucking clue" I have ever seen. Apparently associating Haitians with devil worship is ok as long as you feel compassion for the devil worshippers.

Frankly, in the 1830's-40's if there were a successful slave rebellion, how do you think the powers that be of the day would have spun that? Of course they HAD to have help from the devil to overcome their white overlords. It couldn't possibly be because as humans they had basic rights to life and freedom and they managed to throw off those shackles in exchange for financial slavery. For Robertson to spew this garbage 180 years later shows how intellectually bankrupt and racist he is in his medieval beliefs.
