Ah, four-day weekends are lovely. This one, of course, is because of Thanksgiving. Not that I'm celebrating in any way. Wiccy has to work. Brrrr......
Just two short weeks ago, I was complaining about how unseasonably hot it was. Since then, we have had a brief bout of seasonable weather. Today, we got a little taste of winter. But we'll be bouncing back to seasonable weather tomorrow for a bit. But, as the Starks say, Winter Is Coming. And I am not ready for that. Not that I want the heat back. ( Read more... ) -

There are no more good mornings.
As a liberal in a red state, I have long become accustomed to backing a losing candidate. It happens. More often than not, actually. Even for President, I have voted for the candidate who did not win more often than the one who did. In 2000 and 2004, I was disappointed. In 2016, I was hurt. Today, however, I am angry. I took the day off and at about 8 this morning, Wiccy and I headed to our local polling place, a Presbyterian church a nice, leisurely 20 minute walk down the street. Ow, my all of me!
I hate being sick. The fatigue is no biggie, as that's my natural state these days. The stuffy and runny nose is no fun. The all-over body aches rather suck. But for me, it's the coughing. The coughs hurt! And earlier today, they were nearly triggering my gag reflex, which was just oh so fun. NOT! It's bad enough that this started on Friday evening ( Read more... )
