Hiya Jem! Yes indeed, I haven't been here in ages. I've seen your entries in ljidol (and I've totally forgotten how to do a link...)but not been able to comment (my fault, not lj's)
I'm kind of poking around for a good critique group right now if you know of anyone who's doing novel chaps.
What is AO3? I went with ff.net just cuz it's been around forever and I had an acc't there. What I posted there is stuff a few people had asked about that I had up on my own fan site a million years ago.

I might -- I'm in a critique group for less than 10k words, and while everything so far has been short stories, there's nothing currently in the rules saying we can't take a chapter of a longer work. I've left a question for the mod, to doublecheck -- it's a relatively new endeavor, so it may not have come up yet.

AO3 is Archive of Our Own, a fanwork hosting site (fanart as well as fanfiction). It's currently invite-based, but I believe they allow you to ask for an invite (the invite is a way to make sure server space keeps up with the users, so you don't need to know anyone, they just have certain periods when invites are available, and then there'll be a pause while they make sure the servers are keeping up). One of the things I like is that you can have more than one name for a profile, so if you previously posted things under another name, you can repost them under the same name at the same time as you post newer stuff under the

Oh wow-- thank you! I'm probably late for this round, but I'll definitely look into it. Not sure my chapters will stand alone, though. I'll just talk to her and see what she says.
