I feel this a lot. But something you told me before has brought me some comfort in the face of it: to look for factual sense only retrospectively, when thngs can be made sense of. The present can be experienced and felt, but less often articulated or understood in the midst of it.
I was reminded of this watching a movie the other night, where one character is asked if he's made up his mind about another, to which he replies:
I never make up my mind about anything at all until it´s over and done with
