I have a friend who hates onions, and you are so right--they are everywhere/i>. Just like garlic. For some reason, garlic seems to have become one of the American seasonings of choice. I don't understand why. It's so overpowering that it just takes over whatever dish you put it in.

And don't get me started on how many restaurants now only serve garlic mashed potatoes instead of regular mashed potatoes. Makes me crazy!

BTW - I also now ask whether they put onions in the cloe slaw because, well, don't they belong in there?

I have never seen linguine with clam sauce cooked with onions before. My dad makes that all the time - with no onions.

I assume the plumber is going to have to be called sooner than later then?

I declare this problem beyond my capabilities. Plumber being called on Monday.

There are recipes that use onion. Just not too many of them...

Ugh, I hate it when you have something like onion that you can't get away from. :S My mom is highly allergic to any sort of fish and you'd be surprised at how many things have clam juice or the like in it. :S We have to check ingredients on everything to make sure that there isn't any stealth fish in it. :S
