[In the middle of a crisis? It's a journalist's job to meddle. As such, Maryann is pretty much trying to make her way across town. At least that was the plan; she wanted to find out where the butterflies were coming from, but damn it, they're everywhere. Now she just wants to get back. That's why she's currently swinging at a few of the Tease with a knife. It's clearly not going very well.]

[As soon as John spots her, he'll come flying in, forming a wall in front of the both of them which the teases can splatter against if they like.]

Mr. Stewart! [Gah, she did not see him coming. Still, the help is appreciated.] I've never been so happy to see someone before! I didn't think these things would be that tough!

[He turns in her direction and nods.]

[Finally, this outfit is legit. As once and for all Charlotte Hazelrink proves that she is capable of running in heels... and carrying a chainsaw. See, she had expected to be safe with her chainsaw, or at least safe enough to make it over to Adell's place. What she hadn't counted on is that these things were fast enough to very much evade a clumsy weapon like this.

Thus, running. Mostly because, in true PL fashion, her clothes where the first things munched through. Or well, the ends of them and part of her chest area and maybe she's bleeding a little 'round the shoulder from one bite but mostly with the running]

[What is it with people not staying indoors? John recognizes the girl right off. Besides the Most Common Superpower, the last time he saw her, she was naked on a roof. Regardless, John will be swooping in and as soon as he's around her, throwing up a bubble around the two of them.]

You really shouldn't be out here, Miss Charlotte.

I know. [Blink, blink... oh! It's that guy that helped her before. Um, what was his name-] I was just going to my friend Adell's apartment. Could you please help me there, Mr. [....Er] John?

You really should have stayed home. [But after a sigh... well, he has to take her somewhere.] I can take you, but you'll have to promise me you'll stay indoors until these creatures are eradicated.

[Terra is definitely about, heading toward the plaza and glancing around warily. Any Teases are met with Fire or greater variations of the spell, though she's starting to look winded given that she's been at this all day.]

[John recognizes that Terra seems to be able to hold her own. He definitely knows that after seeing her in action against Kefka. But he recognizes fatigue when he sees it, so he moves in closer just in case.]

So much for this place being peaceful.

[Terra glances up, relieved to see him despite being able to manage for now.]

If it isn't one villain, it's another. Do we know who's responsible for this incident?

Not just yet. [But it's definitely not Kefka. And if it was Aku, he knows his ring would be useless against him.] Doesn't seem to be any of the usual suspects.

[Supes's heat-vision tears through the Tease like butter, leaving the League once again the best line of defense Luceti's got. He flies over to John.]

No rest for the weary, it looks like.

[John nods. Nice to have the company.]

At this rate, this place is starting to remind me of home.

And to think, Diana was complaining about boredom not that long ago.

Where have you gone by so far?

I've made a few sweeps around the village, but I've been staying around this area. The creatures don't seem to be interested in much outside of the village itself. Just the people here.
