[Supes's heat-vision tears through the Tease like butter, leaving the League once again the best line of defense Luceti's got. He flies over to John.]

No rest for the weary, it looks like.

[John nods. Nice to have the company.]

At this rate, this place is starting to remind me of home.

And to think, Diana was complaining about boredom not that long ago.

Where have you gone by so far?

I've made a few sweeps around the village, but I've been staying around this area. The creatures don't seem to be interested in much outside of the village itself. Just the people here.

Well that's a bit more predictable than the trees at least.

I've been moving around the outskirts to check on anyone who might've gotten stuck outside the village, but I haven't run into anyone so far, which I guess is fortunate.

After those threats from the 'wolf god', that's not surprising. [Even if she was supposedly taken.]

I don't suppose you've heard from Batman yet? [If someone was going to find the source for these things, it would be Bruce.]

True enough. Blessing in disguise, I suppose.

Nothing. But I expected that. He won't tell us anything until he's sure he has a lead. You know how he is.

He better work fast. These things are already causing more injuries than the flying trees did. [He pauses to take out a few more with a few well aimed shots.]

Have you checked your journal recently? Maybe somebody else has some idea where they're coming from. [More heat vision! It really is pretty much the best weapon he's got here. Oh, and some super breath.]

Haven't had much of a chance, just yet. [Been busy saving people and all that.]

Same. It would just figure if we were missing some vital information because they're keeping us too busy here... [Not that that's stopping him from frying more of the things, mind you.]

I have a feeling we might be out here for awhile. Especially if-

[It's about this time that John will notice a young boy stumbling into the plaza. And moments later, exploding from the chest from the butterflies.]

[This is a look of utmost horror (the icon's as close as I can get)...]

[Clark's eyes are glowing... very brightly.]

[He's seen a lot of things, but it doesn't matter how hardened you might be. Seeing an innocent boy eaten from the inside out...

He doesn't say anything in response. He just does what's asked of him and takes a few steps back. Because if Clark doesn't incinerate the little bastards coming out of that boy's remains, John will.]

[The sound of Clark's heat-vision shooting out is usually pretty quiet. You wouldn't even notice it in a pitched battle.

This? It's more like canon fire. The blast tears into the flock of Tease rising from Ash's corpse, annihilating most if not all of them. A few might escape, but Supes just dealt a huge blow to the Tease reinforcements.
