Finally, crap isn't so awful around here for once. The storm isn't over (after all, I have to go into work tomorrow and am currently ignoring several huge piles of paperwork I need to organize, collate and tally, etc., etc.) but honestly, I DON'T CARE right now ( Read more... )

I'd be excited about any raise, myself. Wes didn't get one at all last year.

To be fair, the union says that most of the raise is going towards the increasing rates for their health & welfare benefits (due to the Universal Health Care plan bill), but, still. These guys make very, very good money. It had to have hurt them to be off for 3 weeks with no pay (unless they chose to go picket), during the busy season.

But, yeah. We're very happy right now.

I totally do not understand the juggalo thing. The other day when I was waiting for the bus home from work, I saw this guy in full juggalo makeup (is there another word for it?) just chillin' downtown. It was in the upper 90's. Why the fuck would you do that? Not to mention, he wasn't even some teenager. I would guess he was mid to late 20's...

My parents may be interested in your golf cart if you're looking to unload it at somepoint down the road. They can have (and my dad really wants) one at their property in Michigan. But, seeing as nothing is built yet, it will be a while...so keep it in mind if your other deal falls through.
