Thanks to
cedarleaf_7 for tipping me off about this:
sneak peek of Chapter Two of the Son of Neptune. And if you haven't seen the
book trailer (lol), there's pictures of new demigods and tinier nuggets of info! But onto the good stuff.
(
Slight spoilers be this way~ )

Didn't that part say something about dreams? I thought that suggested that she'd been having prophetic dreams like Annabeth was having about Jason, just... with more detail?

I'm curious about Octavian. Do they mean like...Octavian Octavian? Nephew of Julius Caesar Octavian? Or do they just like using old heritage names as much as Sally did?
Daughter of Bacchus could be interesting, but it wouldn't really be that surprising...TLH focused on a lot of gods who didn't have much of a spotlight before, so I don't see why SoN can't do something similar. I doubt Reyna will be going anywhere, though, so maybe she won't be as much of a major character as we thought she would be after TLH?
I mean, you got three new demigods with TLH, Percy + two newbies in SoN, which leaves one extra, and my guess and hope against hope is that Nico will be that last demigod. The only thing holding me back is that RR is playing up the death thing a loooot which makes me think that he might just be trolling us, but then he also said Nico would have a major role to play...

However, considering he is RR, there could possibly be more children of the Big Three over with the Romans, if for some reason the no-more-kids-rule didn't extend to their Roman counterparts, and then we'll really be screwed.
Let us hope not. I miss Nico and I expect major page time!

Percy thrust out his hands. And intense tugging sensation filled his gut, and the Tiber River obeyed his will. The river surged, whirlpools formed on either side of Frank. Giant watery hands erupted from the stream, copying Percy’s movements. The giant hands grabbed the Gorgons, who dropped Frank in surprise, then the hands lifted the squawking monsters in a liquid vice grip ( ... )

“Hazel,” said Reyna, “bring him inside. I want to question him at the Principia. Then we’ll send him to Octavian. We must consult the Auguries before we decide what to do with him.”
“What do you mean?” Percy asked. “ ‘Decide what to do with me’?”
Reyna’s hand tightened on her dagger. Obviously she was not used to having her ordered questioned. “Before we accept anyone at camp, we must interrogate them and read the Auguries. Juno said your fate is in our hands. We have to know if the goddess has brought us a new recruit,” Reyna studied him as if she doubted the possibility. “Or,” she said more hopefully, “if she’s brought us an enemy to kill.”
