Reyna somehow knows who Percy is or at least his reputation. Does that mean she knows where Jason went? Or that the Roman camp knows more about CHB?

Didn't that part say something about dreams? I thought that suggested that she'd been having prophetic dreams like Annabeth was having about Jason, just... with more detail?

He did say Percy would lose the Curse of Achilles... D: I don't think I expected it to be that easy/so soon, but RR will be RR.

I'm curious about Octavian. Do they mean like...Octavian Octavian? Nephew of Julius Caesar Octavian? Or do they just like using old heritage names as much as Sally did?

Daughter of Bacchus could be interesting, but it wouldn't really be that surprising...TLH focused on a lot of gods who didn't have much of a spotlight before, so I don't see why SoN can't do something similar. I doubt Reyna will be going anywhere, though, so maybe she won't be as much of a major character as we thought she would be after TLH?

I mean, you got three new demigods with TLH, Percy + two newbies in SoN, which leaves one extra, and my guess and hope against hope is that Nico will be that last demigod. The only thing holding me back is that RR is playing up the death thing a loooot which makes me think that he might just be trolling us, but then he also said Nico would have a major role to play...

Nico being the 7th demigod of the prophecy seems just too good to be true, but OH DEAR LORD would that be amazing. Seriously hoping RSquared isn't trolling us here...

However, considering he is RR, there could possibly be more children of the Big Three over with the Romans, if for some reason the no-more-kids-rule didn't extend to their Roman counterparts, and then we'll really be screwed.

Let us hope not. I miss Nico and I expect major page time!

If anyone can't listen, for some reason:

Percy thrust out his hands. And intense tugging sensation filled his gut, and the Tiber River obeyed his will. The river surged, whirlpools formed on either side of Frank. Giant watery hands erupted from the stream, copying Percy’s movements. The giant hands grabbed the Gorgons, who dropped Frank in surprise, then the hands lifted the squawking monsters in a liquid vice grip ( ... )

That last part was a lie. Percy could tell from her eyes. But he also understood that if he argued about it with her here, in front of her soldiers, she wouldn’t appreciate it.

“Hazel,” said Reyna, “bring him inside. I want to question him at the Principia. Then we’ll send him to Octavian. We must consult the Auguries before we decide what to do with him.”

“What do you mean?” Percy asked. “ ‘Decide what to do with me’?”

Reyna’s hand tightened on her dagger. Obviously she was not used to having her ordered questioned. “Before we accept anyone at camp, we must interrogate them and read the Auguries. Juno said your fate is in our hands. We have to know if the goddess has brought us a new recruit,” Reyna studied him as if she doubted the possibility. “Or,” she said more hopefully, “if she’s brought us an enemy to kill.”

In all honesty, I think RR was trying to avoid Percy falling victim to his fatal flaw. And it would be a flaw from the Romans' point of view. They were very big on setting the self aside in the name of honor and duty, so Percy breaking ranks just to get back to Annabeth probably wouldn't go over too well (he's probably already got a black mark with them for not bowing to Juno). However, since it's probably because of the curse that he even remembers about Annabeth at all, since he still remembers her even after it got washed off, it may not be entirely gone. Or, since there's no way the Tiber can be stronger than the Styx, maybe he just doesn't have it when he's with the Romans?

I'm guessing, since some other excerpt I read says he talked to Annabeth, she came to him in a dream vision of some sort, like Grover did in SoM when he and Percy shared the empathy link. Even if the spot is the only reason he remembered Annabeth, he wouldn't forget the conversation he just had with her, so his invulnerability may very well be completely gone. WHAT A WASTE. I was sort of under the impression that it was, you know, FOR LIFE. What's the purpose of even walking into the Styx and nearly having your soul ripped away if the curse can be taken away that easily? RR you make things too convenient for yourself.
