Things I am loving a lot right this second.

• Last week's Friday Night Lights. It makes me sigh and put my hand over my heart and go "oh" more than any other show ever. And, Tim Fucking Riggins, man. Jesus. God, I know. It breaks my heart and yet I love it (and him) so SO much that all I can really do is flail about and squeak. He is such a tragic character, really. Oh, my heart.

And, Tim Fucking Riggins, man.What I have grown to really like about Tim as a character (and by extension, the FNL writing staff) is that instead of just shoving his issues in our face (abandoned by his parents, incapable of dealing with responsibility, drinking problem, etc.) and expecting us to sympathize with him and like him, he shows us his issues--and then does something about them. And not in big ways and not always successfully, but at least he has a growing level of self-awareness and is fumbling around trying to be a better person ( ... )

Yes, yes and yes (except that I always fall for the fictional the complicated, screwed-up, sensitive bad boy, but hearing that you don't and still love Tim all the same jsut cements how completely amazing FNL really is to me). I love Tim so much because of all of his imperfections.

And... now I miss BtVS almost vicerally, not that Torchwood with Marsters isn't great... but I miss BtVS.
