I realized over the weekend (or well technically it was Monday and Tuesday but it was like a weekend, so whatever) that I've been fangirling the same emo tv bad boys with anger issues and low self esteem since I was fourteen. OMG. I thought my sister and I were the only two people in the universe who obsessed over that show instead of 90210.

DUDE! AWESOMENESS! I thought I was the only one too. And rewatching it is just, it's really not the greatest show ever but I still love it SO SO MUCH. Pony Express riders are so much more interesting than rich high school kids.

I know, right. I had this little freak out with flaily hands and lots of omg omg and had to immediately show catling42 (who's not seen FNL and hand never see Young Riders before) key Tim scenes to make sure I wasn't just crazy or something.

But, yeah. You would totally fall in love with Jimmy. I will have to show you some eps sometime.

OMG YOUNG RIDERS. I loved that show. Loved it to tiny pieces. I remember loving one of the guy characters (can't remember which one, though), and I loved the girl character a lot (even though I can't even remember her name now). Young Riders! *sigh*

OMG YOU TOO! YAY! I'mma guess that it was either Kid or Cody who was your favorite. And the girl is Lou (man, did I ever want to be her. so much). Kid and Lou were together by the end of it but I've always been a Jimmy/Lou shipper. Ah, my memory for useless information is so good. heh.

I'm kind of wishing now that I'd never got rid of all the tapes I had. Though 16 years latter probably wouldn't be any good anymore anyway. *sigh*

See, now I'm just really wanting some Young Riders TV. Like, right now. I want to remember who it was that I liked!

I think I really, really, wanted to be Lou so much too. Also, I remember thinking she was really pretty (which, now that I'm an actual adult, probably translates to 'Wow, she's hot').

They have S1 on netflix (is there Canadian netflix?). Oh, but I just did a quick search and there's a bunch of episode clips on youtube including S2 and 3 stuff that's not on dvd. Oh, I can see I'm going to get a lot of work done today.

She was (is?) really pretty. :) I dressed up as Lou for a costume party once, of course no one knew who I was supposed to be.

I was all about Northern Exposure too, but the Young Riders was totally my main obsession. Kind of like SPN and FNL now actually. Seems I just can't maintain that high level of obsession with more than on thing at a time. My teenage love life was so not dramatic. Maybe that's where the badboy gunfighter obsession comes in.

I like Jimmy too. Did I mention that? (& now I kind of want to make icons but there are no good screen caps anywhere. I searched the entire internet). A lot of those clips are the ones I was saying I wished I could show you but those seasons aren't on dvd yet. Youtube FTW! \o/
