Speaking as somebody that's been hurt and betrayed on more than one occasion by those I love, I can tell you this:

You will survive. You will stop crying. You will smile. You will laugh.

And at some point, you will trust another human being the way you trusted the one that hurt you.

And maybe you will get hurt again. And if you do, it will hurt just as much. Experience doesn't soften the blow at all.

Or maybe you won't get hurt again. Maybe it'll work out.

If you are hurt again, the process will repeat. But eventually, it will be worth the pain, because love is worth it.

Honest.
