Jasmine isn't happy.

She wasn't happy when Eight-Hour fire-moved her to the fringes of civilization.

She was, if anything, less happy when she discovered she had to walk four hours just to get within reach of Downside public transport, and that the subsequent ride home took another four hours ( Read more... )

Anna goes.

He has little to feel guilty about - she fire-moves away so fast the gashes in her neck don't even have time to bleed.

Jasmine has really had just about enough of this. She disapproves of sand, especially when it gets into the places that this particular sand seems determined to investigage. She also disapproves of bruises, at least on herself. Now she's got both.

Not to mention Eight-Hour is no longer under her control. That's novel, and not in a good way.

Clark stalks toward her and glares down.

"You're going back now. And you're not coming back, is that clear?"

"Understood," says Jasmine, getting up and dusting herself off as best she can.

With a smirk, "Not that I have any intention of obeying such a ridiculous edict."

"Oh you will. Because if I ever see you here again? I'm not going to be so nice next time." He tilts his head. "And I think you're well aware that you don't stand a chance against me."

"Forgotten our first meeting already? But it went so well," she purrs.

"Next time I shall be certain to come prepared."

"You don't know when to quit, do you? Don't come back. We're done with you."

Jasmine has nothing to say to this.

She's too busy having fond memories of how easily this blustering fool breaks.

Clark doesn't care. He grabs her by the arm and starts walking her toward the main path away from the lake.

Jasmine does her best to resist, but when Clark Kent has you by the arm and wishes you to go somewhere, there isn't much choice involved in the equation.

He'd ask her to just follow along nicely, but he knows how well that would go over. Instead, he simply ignore her struggles and continues in silence until they're fairly close tot he main road out here.

There he stops and hesitates. He hasn't exactly decided where he's taking her to send her back. The farm is out, of course. But if all he needs is a door, any building will do.

His hesitation prompts her to jerk extra hard on where he's holding her arm.

Futilely, of course.

"There's a tavern down the road. If I let you go are you going to play nice, or are you going to continue to be stupid and try and get away?"

"Take a wild guess."

"Right." He sighs, and then starts back down the road, firm grip still on her arm.

Jazz has too much dignity to make him drag her.

Just barely.

Still, she walks. Ambulatory, if unhappily so.
