Jasmine isn't happy.

She wasn't happy when Eight-Hour fire-moved her to the fringes of civilization.

She was, if anything, less happy when she discovered she had to walk four hours just to get within reach of Downside public transport, and that the subsequent ride home took another four hours

He has little to feel guilty about - she fire-moves away so fast the gashes in her neck don't even have time to bleed.

When the tavern is in view, and not much further away, he stops again and turns around to face her.

"I mean it, once you're gone, you don't come back."

"Or what?"

She raises her eyebrows.

"You'll hurt me? Don't make threats you can't fulfill. It's so... pusillanimous of you."

"My patience is limited," he warns and then leans in, lowering his voice. "Besides, as I recall, I owe you some iron spikes in your skull, at the very least. You come back and I'm going to have to consider making good on that."

"When I come back, I'm going to have more of that mineral you despise so much, and this conversation is going to go very differently. I was interrupted before I'd quite finished with you. I should correct that."

"I doubt that." He pulls her the rest of the way to the tavern and opens a side door. It doesn't look like a tavern inside, which is good enough for Clark.

"If I see you again, you're going to find out what happens when I get angry, got it?"

[green_and_white]

"What happens when you get angry is that you pout like a little girl who's lost her teddy bear."

It's clear Jasmine's opinion of him is not high.

"I'll be sure to have spikes ready then." And then he pushes Jasmine through the door. Hard.
