OH I'M SURE JOSS WHEDON HAS A LOT OF MAN PAIN UP HIS SLEEVE FOR THE AVENGERS ENDING.

Wow, I really enjoyed this. I was able to visualize the entire fight in my mind as I read the words which is something I look for most in reading a fic. The emotions and characterizations were great, Loki's anger and how, in his mind, he was in the right for attempting to overtake the planet. Also thor's conflicting emotions between his duty to Midgard and his duty to the man he grew up with.

And I'll shut up now. In short, a+ fic and well written scene!
