I read this to Jessalyn and her first response was, 'Wait, he's just making this to make it?!' and I said I believe you're making it because you somehow came into possession of a pilates ball. It makes perfect sense to me.

I wish I could take credit for the color, but that was just how it came out. The only credit I can take is for holding it up to the light and declaring it Good.

Regarding the pilates ball, I initially typed "pilated" instead of "pilates" and now I want to know what "pilated" might mean.

ANYHOW, regarding the pilates ball, it is equally accurate to say I came into posession of a pilates ball because I thought it would make a good mold for something like this. A bit of a chicken/egg situation, I'm afraid. I think the germ for it came long ago when I first found the amazing Rob Cockerham's web page (www.cockeyed.com). He once did a papier mache globe of similar size: http://cockeyed.com/incredible/globe/globe.html.

Clearly, what your apartment needs for completeness is a lovely death star. Think how it would impress the Jehovah's Witnesses! hd
