Apple/Woolworths Logo Fight

Apple is trying to fight Woolworths from changing their logo because they say that their classic "bite of the apple" logo is being ripped off by Woolworths.

What do you think?

I think that it's similar, yes, but not an entire rip off. There is no bite out of the apple, the shape of the apple is completely different, and the gradients aren't similar to Apple's logo.

I don't comment on here often, but I have to say something about this. Apple is just too full of themselves in this case. They do not hold the sole copyright on a piece of fruit. And besides, without the (conveniently green) Apple logo next to the Woolworths one, I wouldn't have even thought of it. Apple needs to cram it.

Also, the Woolworths one looks, to me, more like apple peelings than a full apple with bite taken out.

I don't think it looks anything like apple's logo. I actually think it's a *good* logo for the grocer. And ditto the look of being apple peelings or apple slices. I approve.

so yes, apple the computer company is full of shit.

I would never confuse these two as the same company.

i think woolworth's actually has a more legitimate right to the apple. they actually do sell real apples and real fruit! apple sells..computers? you can't eat computers, and no computers are even shaped like apples.

They are way off. Now no one is allowed to use fruit anymore. Next they'll be going after local apple orchards.
