Home again, home again, jiggety-jig.

Indeed! I don't see Australian summer by the beach as Severus' natural environment. It's very appropriate for them to go home before anything else develops. I particularly like the way you portrayed Hermione's mixed feelings and her growing dependence on Severus.

I did think about keeping them in Gerringong through Christmas, and I had written a beach scene of the Wendell/Severus conversation that made Severus slightly uncomfortable, but I decided to keep it all from Hermione's point of view, this time. So the drabble got chucked.

Thanks, Buzzy!

*hugs you* You're clever; I have no doubt it'll be delightful, whatever you choose to write!

Wonderful! I love that you had it work, but not perfectly. That's so much more real, and does leave Hermione having to deal with being forgiven when it isn't all just magically (heh) better. And how she doesn't yet realize he is "her" Severus, or shall be soon, and the hints of what Wendell must have said to him while they were outside ... I just love it!

Forgiveness, when when you're the one being forgiven but the wrong is not undone, can be difficult to accept. It's that whole lousy guilt thing.

I'm glad you liked this; thank you!

"And bring your Severus again.”

Oh so perceptive (and prescriptive) Monica, thank you!

Delicate and lovely, with nice realistic touches.

Snape wants her home for a different reason and I suspect Xmas eve will be a busy day for them. Someone needs to confont Umbridge still- a little Slytherin justice perhaps? Somone still has to write the romantic smut though. LOL

I'm not sure if he's allowing himself to think beyond closing time on Christmas Eve -- it will be a busy day, after all. Or perhaps he's just afraid of what the evening might hold. *grin*
