Thank you! Given that Severus has told Hermione some awfully big lies, I thought he should have some very good reasons or she'd never forgive him. Growning up in a house with Eileen and Toby fighting all the time, and it frightening the life out of him, seemed to fit.

And I just love subjecting Lucius' hair to indignity! If it's not mange, it's plaits ;-)

Oh wow -- Toby definitely has the guileless freeloader act down to an art.

Am loving the image of the pure-bloods stoned off their arses -- especially giggly Lucius and comforting, best friend-y Ron.

Tobias is lucky Hermione didn't knock is fucking teeth out; if ever there was a reason for a fist to the face -- and he only went and gave her two in one go.

LOL -- why oh why would Sev be starving. *g* Though if I were him I think I'd be slightly worried about the possibility of magic brownies cropping up as the apology dessert.

There is so much to love in this set! Tobias pulling the lads into his weed-soaked sports-watching, stoned Draco braiding Lucius' hair (I've always thought Draco had to have a bit of lock-envy), bestestest friend Ron, and Hermione defending her man! I think you caught the balance of bloke-ishness and violence in Toby perfectly - it explains how Severus could be so hostile to a man who comes across at first as a fun-loving, easy-going guy.

I don't suppose we can see drafts of those speeches?
