While I do envision both of them as being gay (come on now, they live in San Francisco, how could they not be!), I personally have yet to see any kind of sexual interest between the two of them in either direction.
I'd say that Jamie lives in SF, given how regularly he gets spotted by folks on my lj list- thus far, none has found him as anything other than gruff- I'm pretty sure he's been spotted with a lady, too...
Yes, they’re both straight, and yes, one of them is even married. They’re both also keenly aware of their gay fan base. I was remarking more on how I perceive that they are perceived by a large portion of their audience (I mean, the postcard came from somewhere, no?).
