She was somewhere in Coney, she didn't really know where or care for that matter, she was just somewhere that was dark and moody. Snake was already there drinking. He was so bored and melencholy that he wanted to drink until he couldn't move. As luck would have it he had come into some coke earlier and he was flying again. He missed the feeling and he needed it now that he was alone with his pain again. He was convinced he could stop again whenever he wanted.

Snake ignored everyone until he heard the voice and looked at the stage. He sighed not really wanting to talk to her. He knew he sould but he didn't want to. He sat back waiting to see what she did before he made his decision.

Iris sat there and sang the rest of the set. The songs just as sad and blue. This was it, not only her last night in New York, but her last night living in the Lighthouse.

After her set she took a bow to the clapping that echoed around the room. Finally she walkerd down from the stage and towards the bar.

Snake debated and then got a waitress. he'd let her come if she wanted to talk. By the time Iris got to the bar there was a cosmopolitan set in front of her but instead of a napkin under it there was one of Snake's business cards. He's leave it up to her whether they talked or not.

Sitting down Iris looked at the card and she felt tears in her eyes...after a moment she sent the waitress back to Snake with the deeds to the lighthouse.

It was the last thing she could really give him.
