one crazy hectic summer!

as the title would dictate, this has been one crazy hectic summer!  It's been a long time since i updated, so i'll give you the play by play ;)

May: Sugarland concert - we were ridiculously late because of traffic, we missed Matt Nathanson and all but the last song of Little Big Town, Sugarland was good, but not as good as next year.  I felt that ( Read more... )

Love these long updates! What was the 3 Day for the Cure all about? Did you have to walk a certain mileage to raise money? I miss you!

Susan G. Komen 3 Day for the Cure was a fundraiser for Breast Cancer research and awareness. a topic you know is very close to my heart. we walked sixty miles over the course of three days. Everyone who walked also raised a minimum of $2300. we camped in tents (which you know is the ultimate sacrifice for me haha) and ate outside (probably my least favorite thing) and used only port-a-potties (a fear i had to overcome very quickly. it was one of the most amazing experiences i've had in my LIFE and would do it again in a heartbeat!

That sounds awesome! Sometimes the best memories in life start when you place yourself outside of your comfort zone. But damn, that's a lot of mileage! I'm proud of you!

thanks! i signed up for it again next year, but i'm going to crew it, hopefully be part of the kid crew, which is a group of pre-teens and teens who volunteer and act as moral support of the walkers. i'd be the leader of the group :) i have to interview for it in the spring, but hopefully it works out! :)
