one crazy hectic summer!

as the title would dictate, this has been one crazy hectic summer!  It's been a long time since i updated, so i'll give you the play by play ;)

May: Sugarland concert - we were ridiculously late because of traffic, we missed Matt Nathanson and all but the last song of Little Big Town, Sugarland was good, but not as good as next year.  I felt that the show lacked a  lot of the energy they had last year.  Mel and Eddie's wedding - such a good time!  I can't believe my lil #m is married and moved off to Texas.  Kelly's wedding shower part one, was the 15th, it was fun.  Lots of people, scrap booking, and fun!  :)  My little Natalie turned 21, but not a lot of celebrating because of being so busy.  We did our big fundraiser for the Susan Komen 3-Day at It's So You in Willoughby, we made soem decent money and had a good time there.

June: Softball started (technically May 31st, but whatever) We had a GREAT season, we won three games, which is amazing for us, and we had fun hanging out, now that we're all of age!  spent many evenings in Downtown Willoughby.  :)  Kelly's wedding shower in Buffalo was in early June which was a lot of fun.  Jordan and I drove up there, and the family put on the shower so we just got to sit back and relax.  Afterward we went and did a little shopping and then went to Kelly's grandma's house for dinner then drove back to Willoughby.  I also finished up at Mentor with my long term sub job.  We did an end of the year picnic for DG which was fun.  We had a missions team meeting at Mom and Dad's, bunch of desserts, the team, and a bonfire!  :)  It was a lot of fun.

I started working back at the daycare too, but that was shortlived because they cut my pay and screwed me over time and time again.  When i was there in the fall/winter, I was making $11/hour, i got my first paycheck in July and it had been dropped to $7.40 (aka minimum wage).  There was a LOT of arguing, and a lot of crying phone calls to HR, until finally i talked to the director of HR, told him the situation and he said "that's bull sh*t" and said he'd cut me a check.  that was a HUGE relief.  my last day there was the 8th.

July: 4th of July weekend Tyler, and Amanda & Marcus came home.  It was really good to see them.  It had been almost three years since i had seen tyler, so it was great to see him.  I surprised mom by bringing him over too.  Fireworks were fun as always, bocce ball and cookouts.  :)  the weekend after that I had my first cake for payment, then I left for Texas with our missions tream.  This was my fifth missions trip, and probably the best one i've been on.  I learned a lot, I grew a lot, and I made a lot of new friends.  We did some literature distribution, we helped with the church services, and did some odd jobs around the pastors' home.  The end of July started wedding craziness, and we had the bachelorette party.  We went to Great Wolf Lodge and had a BLAST!  We swam all day, then went to our room, showered, got ready, and went to a club at Kalahari.  We had a DELICIOUS dinner, played putt putt, then danced the night away.  SOOO Much Fun!  :)  The next day we packed up to leave and we were in a minor car accident on the way out of the driveway.  Beth got her ribs separated by a crate so we took a little journey to the ER.  Finally made it home, had a softball double header and crashed!

Started at Vanity that week, and then the last weekend of July was the Susan G. Komen 3 Day for the Cure!  It was an absolutely AMAZING experience.  The people i met, the stories i heard, and the amazing journey's these women (and men) have gone through, it's an AWESOME experience.  I hurt my knee somehow while walking, so that was an inconvenience, but it's healed up now.

August: So far August has been great!  I was offered a long-term sub job with North Royalton City Schools.  I start tomorrow with the all-staff inservice, then the students have orientation Friday and start with me next Tuesday.  The position is integrated pre-school, so half of my students have special needs.  The students are there Tuesday-Friday half a day (morning class is 3-4 year olds, afternoon class is 4, 5 and 6) i'm really looking forward to it.
Kelly's wedding was last weekend, which was a TOTAL blast!  Friday for rehearsal was fun, we went and got our nails done which was an adventure, they screwed up my fingernails, so i had to get them done twice, but our toes came out really cute.  We went back to Kelly's mom's house, got all dolled up and went to the church.  we did the rehearsal, then went to Mark's parents house for dinner.  Very nice, just hung out talking to everyone.  Afterward we went to Downtown Willoughby and had a drink, then i went home to finish my cake for a customer ;)  (i love saying that!).  Saturday I got up, went to mom and dad's, kelly's mom picked me up, and we met everyone at the hair salon.  Got our hair did, and i LOVED my hair.  Went to the church, got our makeup done, and then did the wedding.  Reception was a BLAST!  We danced the night away and had a great time!  The next morning (6 a.m.) we left for Tennessee for grandma's 85th birthday party!  It was nice to see all the family and everything.  We came back Wednesday night and now it's back to the grind.

That's really about it.  I've been ridiculously busy all summer, and now it's back to school.  Maybe i'll get a break at Christmas!  haha!
