A Difficult Decision and an Announcement
Hey, guys..or guy...or nobody at all.
After a long period of reflection and a semester of angst during which I wrote many angsty poems, I've made the decision not to post two poems a day this summer. Or any poetry at all.
There are various reasons why:

A Daffodil

My words and actions
Or at least I tried
For you I picked
A thousand songs
I hoped you would enjoy
For you
I picked

A I Watch
As I watch the seasons change
Leaves, people, dreams, lies
Fall
Collapse on the ground
With a thud.
The world,
Satisfied,
Folds her arms
And sighs --
Then sits down
A game of chess
With wee petty mortals
Attempting to be kinged
Attempting to be God
Attempting to avoid
The mirror
Every day a scarred
Face grinning -
Scattered
Bits of me
Are scattered
Everywhere
In the ocean
In the snow
The past
The future
And the
Desert below
Parts of me
Are whispered
In my prayers
Sequestered
From the girl you know,
Bits and pieces
I pray to hold onto
A lingering "please?"
Hanging in the air
As I look at my very real hangman
and (allegedly) imaginary noose -
Placing My Brain Away
I save some time
Some money
And put my brain
Into now
Still frightened
But at least it's
Finally here
The moment where
We can breathe
(At least hopefully)
Where we can give
Ourselves away
An exchanging of
Souls -
If Only
I wish I could see down the line
And know I'd be all right
I wish I could be reassured
With him to hold me tight
I wish I could feel better
I don't want to be distressed
But I can' t help it
I'm a mess -
What Awaits
I feel as though
My wrists are bound
I have nowhere to move
It seems whichever way I look
I'm unable to be soothed
I'm trying not to worry
But my mind's still doing over-time
Up early in the morning
Even if I sleep through the night
So tired
So scared
I need someone to hold my hand -

Whichever
Whichever decision I make
I may be wrong
Whichever way I turn
I may be hanged
Whatever thing I do
It may haunt me
Whatever my decision
It could taunt me
Whatever fears I have
They're jusified
Whatever hopes I have
Are made of glass -
The Crawling
I fear that it
Will crawl inside me
Devour me
My personality
My self
My being
I hold onto hope
That I will survive
Come out of this alive
And unscathed
I'm afraid of this thing
What will it do?
It stares up at me
From a brown paper bag
Across the room
Glaring me down
I swallow my heart
I will take the leap
And hope not to land
On concrete
