Laparoscopic surgery on March 2nd, NOM!

The procedure I've wanted for more than 2 years now. Too insanely chuffed, we're finally gonna at least find out what it's not. While talking about anaesthetics with my mother, she said that she'd only got one before, when she got sterilised. LULWHUT. Apparently this is the most common form of contraception ( Read more... )

I know billions of women who've been sterilised. and by that i mean about 10. seriously....loads of people have it but don't talk about it.

Have you not had GA before? I've had billions. and by that, you know I mean about 10. Nice to have a drug enduced sleepy with the promise of more drugs the other end. (I'm a sucker for a bit o'morphine)

It also helped that the anaethetist at the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital looked like Matt Morgan and I was trying to get off with him while half asleep/in a gown. It was a few weeks till I realised he'd seen me unconscious with my hip all taken open from the front end and the ass end and gawd only knows what was on show. Sigh. My mother will never get a son in law at this rate.

Good luck with the laproscopy. I had a similar thingum once but I weren't lucky enough to have the navel-entry :(

Just look forward to the cool scar you'll get. You've got a long way to beat me in the scar stakes though. I'll race you to 90% scar tissue before 2010.

Yeah, that's what my mother said, that loads of people get it done. I don't think I've ever heard of it as a contraceptive procedure for women, and I know it's just the same as a vasectomy but it just seems more... I dunno.

I was supposed to get some operation when I was about 10 but then they decided at the last minute not to do it. I'm such a failure when it comes to knowing about my medical history because I used to always be sick when I was little so it's not notable or irregular enough for me to remember hospital visits and that.

Is it usually navel entry? I got the impression that it's a small incision just below the "bikini line". Whichever has the cooler/bigger scar, I'll take that one, ta. I proper love your scars, I was saying it to my mother earlier. Scars are really pretty, even if they're not necessarily aesthetically pretty, they somehow are. Sense, I has it.
