Looking for the Perfect Guy

Last night (Friday night) I had a great time getting to know this cute guy as well as catching up with an old friend.  I finally met another gay guy (the cute guy) who shares my values.  Too bad he's dating another guy and that he's going away for graduate school.  During dinner we discussed the concept of "I'm not ready to be in a relationship"

at times, "i'm not ready to be in a relationship" really is the truth. you can do it!! when things are fragile, just take your time and do it one thing at a time.

greg, one of my friends is gay he took a very long time telling me (*i am the only soul he has told and it's because of a sticky situation which i could explain later)he deals with his sexuality by drinking etc. i don't know ..this isn't a dear Abbey or a dear Greg or anything but i was wondering if you could offer some insight on this because i love him to death but i want to be able to empathise with him and i find i can't.
