I cannot possibly put into words the sheer amount of glee I feel about John not getting hard. That he has a hard time separating fantasy - and not even his own fantasy - from reality. And I absolutely love the way he's trying to convince himself it's okay, it's just playacting, it's just Rodney, and completely fails until Rodney helps him with that.
