I was planning on a medieval-sort-of-GoT-fusion-AU Super Husbands story and now I'm thinking I could do a Pacific Rim fusion instead. maybe.

Hahahaa... I was super tempted to switch out my TW Big Bang to the Pacific Rim fusion I'm writing but I can't do that! :D I can't get distracted by new shiny even though I'm writing the PR fusion instead of finishing my charity fic OR my TW BB... eep!

Not sure what's going on with the box office, other than it's a movie basically filled with "relative" unknowns (except for Idris) - it technically doesn't have a mainstream 'hook' - and doesn't really fit neatly into a genre so you lose some inbuilt audience. I think it will probably be one of those things that gets cult status once it hits DVD release.

you couldn't switch for moral reasons or because fusions are not accepted? but hey, I am not complaining because that means two stories! lol! 3 with the charity fic! (yay!)

I really REALLY loved the bit of your TW/Pacific Rim you posted on Tumblr, and clapped like a seal when I read it's already 5K. Shiny is great, pursue the shiny ;)

I have NO IDEA why it's not a bigger success. Granted, I didn't see much publicity until very close to the release (though in New York it was everywhere), but it has all of the ingredients. I know my husband said 'it was a lot better than Transformer' and I was 'OMG, shut up, everything is better than Transformer!'. I am convinced it will become a cult favorite too. and if I heard right, they did announce a sequel already, so... \o/

Ha - no, I signed up Track 2 BB with an artist so she's already got the story that I started and I'm already at 10k with it so although it's VERY tempting I caaaan't. :D Ugh, I really need to write this weekend and need to write the things I'm SUPPOSED to be writing! :D Charity fic is closing out at about 15k (I offered 2k so I'm suspecting my givee is being patient because I'm going a little overboard!) and now at about 8k Pacific Rim and haven't gotten to the meaties yet or even gotten Derek and Stiles into their Jaeger! :D

ohhh, track 2 BB are really cool too, I did consider that (before whimping out). I am sure what you both will come with will be amazing *cheers*

and oh my god, so many words, you make me so happy. ♥

I would wait a long time for 15K from you (one day I'll win you!), I am sure she is thrilled.

In fact, if she's like me, she doesn't really expect anything back? well maybe that's because the last 3 auctions I won, I never got what I paid for, but I'm not bitter, life happens sometimes and the money was for charity anyway.

OUIII, PACIFIC RIM !

it's action, action, with more action on top, and it's pretty damn awesome if you like things like that! and hell yes, Idris Elba in uniform, that is AWESOME. lots of pretty people, for sure!

man, as I saw on tumblr, that's the best Comic Con I've never been to! so much love, from all of the Dylan&Tyler to Loki to EVERYTHING. I am sure I'd love it (apart from the lines)

sadly, you didn't misunderstood! *sad face*

we have two 12 episode arcs, right? 3a and 3b, for 24 episodes total for S3. Tonight is episode 8 of 3a, but when those 12 episodes are done, the next 12 (3b) will only air starting January 6th *cries*

I DO like things like that!Plus giant robots and cool characters-can't wait to see it!

OH.So they're doing what OZ did with S4 back in days-S4a and S4b. And now, wait S3b will start in January? You know what? Kinda works for me.Just think about it-at least we don't need to wait a damn YEAR for it.

you want to know a secret? I love having new episodes but the fandom is frankly a little crazy (on tumblr) and I'm always more comfortable creating stories when the canon is not moving from week to week... I will welcome the hiatus, knowing that January will be there soon enough! (oh nooooooes! not January! where is the summer going? it's already colder - like 10C - at night)

Idris Elba was definitely the best thing in the movie. UNF indeed. Or, as I believe I thought at certain moments in the movie, "fuck me now, Idris." Otherwise, too much action for me, I got bored. But my son and his friend LOVED it.

that man has such a presence, it's amazing, beautiful and definitely worthy of many "fuck me now, Idris" moments. god.

there was a LOT, I agree. I just read that they cut like one hour of character stuff, which would have made a completely different movie. But I was going in expecting epic battles of monsters vs giant robots, so I got what I paid for (and for one wasn't bored for a minute. my 13 yrs old love it too ;) )

Pacific Rim wasn't quite everything I hoped it would be (I found a lot of the script/dialog to be pretty cheesy), but I really enjoyed it! I just liked how immersive it was, how it really took you into a different world.

YOU SHOULD COME TO COMIC CON. I WILL HELP YOU DO THINGS.

well yes, it was a little cheesy I agree! but as I was not expecting much more than giant lizards vs giants robots, it worked for me....

OH I WOULD LOVE TO, IT'S ON THE BUCKET LIST! (though it must be exhausting!)
