why is it that becuase we don't do Christmas we get called weird? What gives a person the right to bombard you with Merry Christmas wishes and then get all arsey when you say "Thank you, happy christmas to you too although we don't do chrstmas we do Yule which is in the 21st" (Yes its happened today on more the 10 times) personaly i think

Its sad that people don't at least recognise the holidays that others observe (I'm as guilty as the next man for this). I have enough difficulty remembering birthdays, let alone celebrations which I personally don't observe! And anyway, you're kids haven't missed out, they had it early (in a way) as Yule is 4 days earlier than Christmas! ( I seem to remember that the Christian festival of Christmas is in mid december as an attempt to appease the pagans many years ago). So really and truly, Yule is the true native celebration for this country! Use that next time someone tries to be smart!
