Off essentialsaltes's tip I hit the grand opening of Bin #73 this last night.

The other thing I couldn't include were pictures I took, including one of the owner and sommelier. ARGH. So frustrating. Examiner's size restriction makes my photos around two times too big. I don't have Photoshop. I imagine I could with Illustrator...maybe. It'll just take time, first to get 'round to it and second to get past the inevitable shouting matches I'll be having with my POS computer. Feh.

If your camera has size settings, choose a lower size.

I assume you have some program that accepts photos from the camera? That should have a setting adjust.

Finally, if you can just get the file size low enough (<500KB), you can change the size in the pub tool once the photo is up (just change the numbers in the box that appears after you loaded the photo in).

It's the file size that I'm talking about. I need to poke at the onboard viewer application to see if it'll let me tweak it before trying to fuck around with Illustrator.
