Present at the creation the story of CERN by Amir D. Aczel. Interesting history of the particle collider. How it was built and what led to its development and who contributed. Another quiet weekend. Didn't do much. Read some. Finished Hater by David Moody creepy and I don't know that I liked it. Interesting as once again the first person perspective leaves you wondering if the narrator is trustworthy.

Watched some shows. So far the beginning of S3 Farscape ( is not... )

stargate_summer story is now at 88 pages and over 40,000 words which makes it novel length. And still writing.

Book read - A separate peace by John Knowles. Wonderful book and coming of age story. It made me wonder about first person POV and whether the storyteller is a trustworthy narrator. Can you trust what he says? It's his point of view and thus tainted ( Read more... )

I read this one once before but wanted to read it again. So I am adding it to my reading list of this year.

The First Three Minutes by Steven Weinberg published in 1977 so it is out of date but still a good read.

Stargate SG-1 The Barque of Heaven by Suzanne Wood hevnlybarquings Enjoyable read if you're looking for a good Gen story set in the Stargate SG-1 universe and a great team story.

Now to choose my next book. I'm behind by a few books already for this year. Must read faster or more often.

I finished The Hidden Reality by Brian Greene today and loved this book. So interesting and fascinating. Brian Greene is great at taking something that is hard to understand for the every day person and making it easy and fun.

Now for something less sciencey.
