I just finished a fun little mystery novel called First You Fall by Scott Sherman.

We just watched John Stewart and I have to say, I am so disgusted by the bull shit lies those people are spewing about Canadian health care.

Yeah, the Republicans are likely to drown in all the crap they've been slinging. Thanks for this story; I'm really interested in this issue (I always have been, but my husband's experience made me even more so). I'm so glad your son was OK, of course!

I really hope that they do because they sound like total morons. They don't even have the decency to be ashamed of how stupid they sound. My son was okay thanks to those wonderful doctors. :)

I think a lack of shame is part of the job description for members of Congress.

This is the second time that I've had someone on my flist try to explain to us Silly Americans that we aren't all going to die if we changed the health care system. If we did, though, I'd probably actually go to the doctor instead of hanging around in pain because I fear being buried in debt from tests or medication. So many people right now have equated "socialized medicine" with "OMFG COMMIES! Hide your children!"

I'll watch The Daily show when it reruns. Who was mouthing off about health care?

I don't know they guy's names because it was a whole bunch of republicans. Of note they were all old guys so they must be set in their ways or something the way they talked. Maybe they are truly afraid and believed what they were saying, but I doubt it. One guy even claimed that 1 out of 5 people died waiting to find out what doctor you can go to. Not at all true of course since we're not a backwater nation or something.

I am ashamed to admit after watching the episode that some of those guys were senators giving speeches to congress.
