Hey. There's an unconscious guy on Level 5 who needs dealing with. Wallace something? Pretty sure he's got a broken rib or two. Jerk tried to slice me open with a broken mirror, so excuse me for leaving him where he is.

Ugh... Yeah, I've got... Something. I think the first aid kit's in what passes for my bathroom.

Um, sorry about the lack of running water... It doesn't get on all that well with me.

I just finished my shift. I'll be right over.

Thanks. See you in a minute.

Shego was limping by the time she got into Rayne's room - just the trip along the hallway was enough to bring her attention to a sprained ankle she'd sustained along with the cuts and bruises. Great. A bit of blood, she didn't mind - being crippled, that ticked her off. The second the door was closed she started peeling off her catsuit, shredded in a few places, one sleeve soaked in blood.

Down to her underwear, she sat down heavily on the bed, unzipping her boots and cringing at the pain that shot up her leg. Screw the Barge.

A long, shallow cut on Shego's upper arm meant the scent of blood would be picked up by any resident close enough and sensitive to it. Rayne was and, in recent times, had got a little familiar with it. An inner serpent of anger threatened to uncoil itself, but not one of bloodthirst; she was annoyed at someone striking out at a person she was fond of.

The latter was a very exclusive club, but it did exist. The illusionary betrayal and, later, death of her mentor, Mynce, had sent the dhampir on quite the bloody crusade of vengeance. Shego was the latest member of it and, while Rayne had no doubt the young woman could defend herself... It annoyed her.

So, collecting thoughts, Rayne hesitated before entering, centreing herself, then went through the door.

"Not that I don't appreciate you getting skimpy on my sheets, but I'd hoped it'd be under better circumstances than this..."

Shego smirked. "Yeah? I guess we can see about that later." Not that she was even remotely in the mood just then, but there was something about Rayne that...well, fired up parts of her mind that had atrophied and died during her life pre-Barge.

Weird. She tried not to focus on it.

"Don't think I need stitches," she said instead, lifting her sliced arm. "Should be okay if I just wrap it up." She paused. "Or, if we're gonna be practical, if you wrap it up." There was a silent 'please' hiding in there somewhere.

No reason.

Call off security. I got this one.

If you're terribly hurt, then go see Bones before he has a stroke.

Max volunteered already, I've got no idea if he's even still there.

...

No reason, huh. So you're dealing with this personally, why?
