What does your character actually look like? Are the dudes and ladies in their icons what they'd look like ICly to another character encountering them in the game, or are there differences from canon or their time in-game--are they missing an eye now, have they been turned

A lot of Jack's icons are from earlier in his canon for convenience! He's taken from shortly before Season 8 and is now 51, but he's being played by a guy in his 40s and so doesn't quite look it. This icon ^ shows how he looks now; a lot of others show him younger.

Calvin and the Major look how they look, except for the Major's fanart icons.

I use icons from after Sooraya's actual canon point because unless she gets some good goddamn canon eventually I will have to just......... update her to Young X-Men and no it's never happening. BUT THE ART... WAS NICE..... and yeah she looks like she does in her icons, especially since she's been around a year anyway! Except that I still have residual icons from verseswapping her with House of M, where she... dresses like Jubilee! Also I assume she straightens her hair or something in that, because they've been drawing it as curly for years now. So she looks like she does in her icons, except the ones where she looks like this!

I've never really considered using a PB for her, mostly because there is one entry to pb_updates for ladies in niqabs? And it's a bunch of different women who are apparently supposed to be considered the same because most of their faces are veiled, which is sort of bullshit!

yeah i play her like she has a nose and a normal face and shit, which is why i have that singular fanart icon around! not that this should keep anyone from saying that she looks like a spoon because that should never stop, ever, ever. but really if any characters encounter her she's just supposed to look like a skinny teenage girl who has horribly unkempt hair that never quits! also really sharp teeth and two holes in her neck. i will never stop making references to her being long and noodly though, plus she's still got a bunch of ~adventure time mannerisms~ where she will just wiggle all around the goddamn place

i do not even want to think about a pb for her that would be heinous

I use a lot of his canon icons because it's the best way to get things that best suit him expression-wise, never mind that he's 15 in them and is 18 in the City, which means a lot of physical growth and modified facial structure and whatnot. He also keeps his bangs a little bit shorter--down to his chin instead of hanging past it by a few inches. The fanart icons are... well, it's from all kinds of places and people, so interpretation varies, but I still tend toward a certain interpretation of appearance with them that stays pretty close to canon for the most part, for the same reasons as above and, well, almost nobody draws him older anyway fml. I have... one, maybe two pieces saved that are, that I can recall right away.

I did manage to find someone who made a passable PB of sorts, but there are not very many pictures of him and he's not half as close as I would like, either--not quite muscular enough, lips a little too thick, the hair is about as good as it's gonna get but let's be honest nobody does it like Trowa does it,

I think Gary Busey really fits Thor's seriousness, and he often has expressions on his face that are cool and godlike, such as 'smiling with cigar.' Also in this picture he is probably looking at an angel who is giving him profound messages for the world, and that's inspiring.
