So I'm back in Barcelona after visiting my dad in the Hospital. He's ok, although he's still with some temperature. I had an ok time except for my dad's wife. I can't stand her. She was playing Florence Nittingale with him all the time. Even putting cream on his feet in front of me, like showing off how my dad was being taken care. She even offered ( Read more... )

Gosh... What was your experience?

My experience was a late uncle, a decided prototype 'bear' never married, and the clingy rural 'girlfirend' old woman that made an awful sobbing display at his funeral. We couldn't stand it...

It almost sounds like he has Cellulitis - a form of blood poisoning, with rashes, fevers, etc...

I hope they find out what it is soon!

And you're a good son - and I bet you'd be a good "Daddy" as well! :-)

I hope your dad gets well soon.

Have they checked for staph infection? My partner's brother had a staph infection last year which developed into the flesh-eating bacteria known here as MRSA:

He recovered fully, but I was stunned in my research that it's quite a bit more common than one would think...

The medical corps here are very sealed. Therefore they won't probably investigate what you suggest. My dad's wife is a kind of a certificated assistant nurse, so it's in her hands. And she insists too much to the docs already

Here's 30 euros so you can buy your father a nicer gift next time? So she can say that it was with her money (as if SHE bought the gift). Very bitchy.
