I recently saw "Notes on a Scandal" and "Volver" back-to-back on the Grand on Saturday. I thought they were both pretty good, but personally I think I prefer "Notes": The performances of Judi Dench, Cate Blanchett, and Bill Nighy were fantastic, really breath-taking.
