The first day of the rest of my life
I am getting over a bad cold. Friday I stayed home from work; either immobilized on couch or bed; or staggering around in an unpleasantly altered state. Last night Abe was working his on-call take-out Mexican food job and hanging out at my house. He told me he delivered to a house with a McCain/Palin sign. Also a "No bama" sign. So, I was just combing through my collage-fodder travel brochures from our trip to England and I ran across the words "a gilded urinal". They referred to something quite literal, but reminded me of "whited sepulchre". -
